Accessibility approach

4SI targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a design and engineering objective for the public website and research interfaces. This statement describes implemented practices and known limitations; it does not claim third-party certification or complete conformance.

Implemented practices

• semantic headings, landmarks, labels and descriptive links;
• visible keyboard focus and native form controls;
• status text in addition to color;
• responsive layouts intended to remain usable at 320 pixels;
• reduced-motion behavior for nonessential animation;
• source links and data explanations available as text;
• no horizontal page layout required for core Radar use.

The legal and transparency pages were rechecked for reflow at 320 CSS pixels and visible control focus on 26 July 2026.

Known limitations

Large public datasets, charts and dynamic filter interfaces can create long reading sequences. Some third-party source documents may not meet the same objectives, and generated visualizations may require additional context. 4SI prioritizes barriers that prevent access to evidence, method, privacy choice, contact or core research meaning.
